ADVOCACY PROGRAMME

Membership & Policy Development Programme
Promotes the process of policy development at and provincial and local levels by advocating for the adoption by Government of policies to protect the rights of disabled people and promote the integration of disability into the overall socio-economic development strategy.

  • Disabled Women’s Development Programme (DWDP)

    Enables disabled women to be at the forefront of their own development. Recognizing the additional disadvantage experienced by disabled women, this programme seeks to promote the participation for gender equality, and facilitates the acquisition of leadership and self help development skills.
     

  • Disabled Youth South Africa (DYSA)
    Aims to develop a programme to campaign for equal rights for disabled youth and awaken the awareness of disabled youth about healthcare, especially AIDS.
     

  • Disabled Children Action Group (DICAG)
    Mobilise parents to advocate for the rights and development of children with disabilities by organising training activities.
